Craft Cocktails in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter

Enjoy Craft Cocktails in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter

Do you love craft cocktails, but hate the pretentious establishments that typically serve them?

If so, you’re in luck! Dublin Square recently introduced a brand-new craft cocktail menu. Now you can enjoy all the fresh, handcrafted ingredients you love in the comfort of your favorite Gaslamp Irish pub!

For the past few years, the art of the handcrafted cocktail has been a focus in bars and restaurants across the country. While we at Dublin Square love a good pint of Guinness (along with a shot of Irish whiskey), we certainly appreciate the care that goes into an innovative beverage.

With our love of delicious drinks and our desire to welcome our Gaslamp visitors in mind, the new Dublin Square Craft Cocktail menu was born!

Featuring a heavy emphasis on whiskey cocktails, our handcrafted libations list includes a walnut and fig mint julep, a vodka Collins with house-made rosemary syrup and a mezcal cocktail mixed to perfection with lemon and honey. Add a pair of carefully constructed gin cocktails and our two favorite rum concoctions, and you have a crowd-pleasing craft drink menu that will impress even the most seasoned lover of libations!

If you’re looking to try one of our new craft cocktails, but aren’t quite sure where to start, let us recommend the “Painkiller!” An obvious nod to a popular favorite from the Virgin Islands, the Painkiller will have you dreaming of your next vacation in no time. We love it so much we’re sharing the recipe so you can recreate it at home (or on vacation):

Painkiller

In a cocktail shaker with ice, add the following ingredients:

1 ½  oz Lahina Dark Rum

1 oz cream of coconut

1 oz orange juice

4 oz pineapple juice

Pinch of nutmeg

Shake for at least 20 seconds, strain and pour into your favorite Tiki glass. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry “flag.” Sprinkle with nutmeg. Enjoy!

Not only does the Painkiller taste great, we adore the presentation! Our Tiki glasses feature a happy face on one side, and an angry face on the other, but after enjoying one of these we’re pretty sure you’ll forget about your worries and just be happy!
